Early Childhood Educator Positions:
One full time position - Okotoks - April start date
One full time position Rosemont, NW Calgary - June start date
One full time position - Lynnwood, SE Calgary - start date TBC
We are looking for individuals who:
have a minimum of three years of experience working with children ages 2-6 years old;
have experience, knowledge or interest in working in an emergent curriculum environment, the Reggio Emilia and Forest School approach;
is flexible and looks forward to responding to planning to changes in programming as the day requires - based on weather or the interests of the children;
enjoys collaboration and working in a team planning environment as this position forms part of a self-functioning team which involves daily and weekly team planning, responsibility for implementation of those plans, classroom organization and cleanliness;
has or be willing to take first aid certification; must provide current police and vulnerable sector check (less than 6 months old);
has ECE certification; we value having a diverse team that have skills and knowledge across a variety of areas; please be sure to include any special interests or certifications you might have (e.g the arts, yoga, permaculture etc)
These positions:
primarily work directly with children; outdoors daily for up to 7 hours except in extreme weather; class size of 16 children with 3 educators that form a self-functioning team;
are full time; 7.5 hours per day; Monday-Friday; our hours of operation are 8:30 am-4:30pm;
offers paid training and ongoing professional development in areas related to Forest School and the Reggio Emilia philosophies and working in a democratic environment;
$20/hour plus government wage top up; internal Wage Enhancement Program for tenure and additional professional development; 2 paid personal days per year; flexible time off up to 5 weeks per year (closed over Winter holidays);
$1,000 per year in Health Spending Account after probationary period
