Outdoor Cooking

Saturday, January 26th, 2019 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us and Robert Ross from Kaykima Wilderness to learn different methods to cooking outdoors.

We will start the session by looking at the science and traditional knowledge behind fire and fire starting. We will discuss and practice methods of fire starting and building depending on need and available materials.

After starting and maintaining our fires we will look at traditional cooking methods and set-ups before preparing a meal for everyone to enjoy.

Workshop is located at the Red Deer Lake Community Hall 5 minutes west of Spruce Meadows off of Hwy 22x.

This workshop will be mostly outdoors, please come dressed for the weather.
